The Devils could do a LOT more this offseason. Signing Forsberg is definitely an option, and Bernier is cleared to play next year.

And why is the cap 83.5 million?

The value is more than fair, but Pitt still declines.

Pitt needs RHD not LHD. In fact, they are probably going to trade a LHD this summer, so they would never move a RHD for a LHD.

Would prefer the Devils to look one tier below in FA for guys like Copp, Marchment, Nichushkin etc.
Also, where did you that Bernier would be back next year, I was under the impression he'd be on LTIR throughout?
