Description
What would it take to land Cirelli? Does Tampa have the cap room to give him a long term deal in the 5-6 range? I think a package like this could help replace his production and would give Tampa a few pieces to make another run next year. Tampa fans what do you think, would this work? If not what will it take?

Tampa currently has $20 mil in cap space when Cirelli's contract is up, $27 if you include Seabrook on LTIR. I think Tampa will have enough room to keep him long term

Cirelli scored 1.49 points per 60 even strength this season.
Suter scored 1.63 points per 60 even strength this season.

You want to trade Suter (with retention) and 3 other assets for a player that performs worse, is on an expiring contract, and cost twice as much. Why?

They have about 60 million spent on 10 guys for 23/24. Its hard to fill out the other 23 spots with 25 million. Sergachev, Cernak, Foote, Colton need extensions as well next year. There goes at least 15. Leaving 5 for the other 9 spots. I'm having a hard time seeing how they can fit it in and stay competitive.

Cirelli has been in contention for the Selke, Suter not so much. Not all about offence.

Suter is top in takeaways and giveaway-takeaway difference on the team.
