Description
I know it leaves us hardly any money to sign our free agents next year but man this team would be fun to watch. Probably a little low on some of the signings as well

Think you've overspend considering you would want to sign your RFAs next summer. Admitting that is a loaded forward group.

I would forget Nichulshin and SMith and just use most of that 11.5mil to re-sign Forsberg.

So you've still added Rakell, Kane and Palat and have 2mil free.

If Forsberg doesn't resign you'd probably be better off with a soft reset. Wait until some of your tied up money goes away and Askarov is ready on an ELC. Then go to town.

I think you've got a bunch of 2nd and 3rd liners here with an average D core. I don't think that's worth tying up all of your salary cap for the next 3-4 years.

The odds of you getting 5 ufa forwards who will be in demand around the league is pretty low. I would focus on Kane (he can replace a lot of Forsbergs production) and Rakell. I like nichushkin but can’t get over the nagging feeling his next contract will be regretted… but if you could get him around 5 mil I wouldn’t be upset.

All in all - I think Forsberg leaving would be a good time for a soft reset. Maybe trade off a piece like Ekholm and/or Granlund and keep bringing in the youth

Oh I get it but I’m bored and wanted to see how far the money could stretch lol. I also would like to see Kane here in Nashville and I think he could replace forsbergs production and probably gives us more flexibility with the cap because he won’t demand 9 like forsberg. Hell even if we do sign forsberg I want to see us go for kane
