Description
BIG time retooling for Washington. Signings create needed depth scoring while leaving space for Wilson to return during the regular season. Washington also brings in a true number one goalie while bringing back a consistent backup in Vanacek.

While the Gibson trade is unlikely, I think Washington management feels the pressure to make a big move this offseason. The other trades and signings would be good fits.

Unfortunately JP and Gibson both probably get more. I would bump it to second + leason and guaranteed first for gibson. Would much rather get Forsberg or Gaudreau than Bura + Stasny with the leftover money

Gonna have to guarantee the first if Ducks accept tbh. Especially if you’re adding a cap dump to it too

Definitely agree about the first, but Eller is not a cap dump. At worst he gets you a third at the deadline after being an ok 3c, only one year left a 3.5 mil

It’s debatable, but for Anaheim it’s hard because we have a plethora of middle 6 forwards.

At worst he gets hurt halfway through the season and we get nothing out of him and nothing for him. Nope, too much risk.

Replace him with your 2022 first and we would probably say Yes, because the original offer is a little short to begin with.
