The trades are the focal point of this, but decided to mix in a big UFA signing in Letang for fun.

Do I think Dumba will get traded? No. Do I think he should get traded because of the cap crunch. If Boldy has a better year than last year and/or if Addison steps up, it may be tough to also keep Dumba around.

Guerin loves signing his former Penguins teammates. Assuming Fleury is willing to come back and Letang decides to move on from Pittsburgh (doubtful at this point). Guerin inks Fleury and Letang to one year deals with an agreement to retain half and ship them to contenders at the deadline if the team doesn’t look to have a strong chance to contend.

If Fleury doesn’t want to come back, keep Talbot.
If Letang doesn’t sign (which is 99.99% the chance) , find a vet RHD to sign for one year, and let Lassi and Addison compete for the 3rd RD spot. Also, the salary retention isn’t necessary on Texier if Letang doesn’t sign so there could be a little adjustment made on that trade.
