Description
Wright / Anderson should mesh well. Anderson's speed and tenacity with Wright's defence and passing. Perfect mesh to begin Wright's career. MSL is there to develop, let him. If anyone can help the Powerhorse on his rushes up the wings, it's Wright and no one is a better safety blanket to the pros then Big Josh as he proved to do besides Caufield to finish the year.

DAL
  1. Petry, Jeff ($1,250,000 retained)
Additional Details:
a la Keith trade (Petry better but selling low) which was a conditional 2nd becoming a 3rd and Caleb Jones. Retention and cap dump equals prospect. They have 14 picks this draft. Habs target 2023, 2024 picks.
2.
MTL
  1. Zacha, Pavel [RFA Rights]
NJD
  1. Armia, Joel
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (CAR)
Additional Details:
They talk about the 2OA. Jersey doesnt want Anderson or Petry. Mtl doesn't want to deal Suzuki or Caufield. Not complicated. NJ reaches back on the floor for Armia, who's a throwaway, another Tatar type, circa Vegas 2018 deal. Zacha isnt worth a 3rd, cap dump gets it done even though Armia is probably valued higher by other GMs Mtl taking the loss to move salary for 2023. Armia like Tatar in 2018 has value with a rebound season, about same age at 29. Fitz wants size and intangibles.
3.
MTL
  1. 2022 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Montreal moves up from 33rd to 29th to draft a needed RHD in Ryan Chesley
EDM
  1. Drouin, Jonathan ($2,750,000 retained)
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Edmonton takes another cheap rehabilitation project in Drouin ala Kane. Drouin waives 3 team NTC to build his value much like Kane.

Yeah no. Zacha can fetch a third and i could even see a late second. Not gonna take Armia at 3.4m for the next 3 years for free. Doubt the Devils even take this if Zacha is removed entirely

Who wants Zacha at 3M qualifying offer? His value is low. Armia I think has higher value simply because of his 'tools' (penalty killer, size, shot, playoff performer, great WHC for Finland, 5 goals in 10 games) but I've sold low here much like Vegas did with Tatar. Armia/Anderson have higher value than many believe around the league.

Dallas isn't giving up Stankoven for Jeff Petry.

Pavel Zacha > Armia+3rd round pick.

Yeah somehow you're not getting a late 1st round pick for Jonathan Drouin who basically has negative value.

Who wants a 35-40 point guy at 3m but we should want a guy who’s put up less than 15 points the past 2 years at 3.4m for the next 3 years. Zacha is worth way more than Armia and GMs also love reclamation projects. Also you don’t know Zacha because he’s been on the PK in the past on top 10 PK units as well as has a very solid shot. He’s also got size (albeit doesn’t really utilize it) and Armia a playoff performer? He’s got 15 points in 44 career games.

I mean I tried finding one Devils fan ACGM that was offering Zacha term. Every single one has him traded. If that doesnt scream selling low then I dont know what is.. I'm selling Petry, a proven top4 RHD low for the same reason.

And I clearly acknowledged your point by giving up a 3rd rounder simply to compromise. You want a 1st for Zacha lmao what are you even arguing.
