Horrible as always.

The dallas one is particularly bad why the hell would a) the habs give up their most viable goalie prospect with all that is happening with price b) why would dallas want primeau when they have oettenger.

As a fan of the perpetually mediocre Stars, I don’t like the trade for other reasons. Prospects are worth more than guys close to retirement, the myth of the offensive defense aging well was disproven again by Yandle. Either way don’t nobody in Dallas wants want Petry, I don’t even want Klingberg back if he’s getting more than 5 mil a year (he will OFD are always overpaid). Also the draft is one of the few high points in a year where they just continued to get older and more mediocre. As far as Allen/Primeau/the backup guy (Montebeault or however it’s spelled) aren’t worth trading for when free agency is coming up, they can get a UFA backup goalie (or just extend Wedgewood).

That’s a bad trade but at least the Habs get a mid first draft pick.
