I don’t think we would trade Marino if an impact player wasn’t coming back, but the thought of back to back picks ( 20 and 21 ) Is very intriguing

PIT Declines. Although I think the value there is fine, I just dont see why the Penguins would trade a top 4 young defender and not get a player back. They dont want prospects and picks, they're only going to move Marino if what they get back is an impact player. Value wise, you were fine though.

honestly the caps say yes here. thats a great deal for them. eller is still a useful center and hes only signed through the end of the season. he could be the canucks 3C this year if they wanna promote someone after they trade miller. he just isnt the guy for the caps anymore cuz McMichael needs to be playing center full time instead of wing. a lot of people on this website will say thats a bad trade but its really not. if the canucks are gonna retain salary the caps would probly need to add one more piece. id give them joe snively or AJF.
