Description
I've gotten some flack for adding Kadri in other AGMs however Jeff Marek just floated the same idea. I'd like to see a LEGITIMATE scoring 2nd C - and Kadri is that (not inflated by super good wingers like the other Cs available) and a solid 30+ goal winger to make a 2nd line that is a threat with Vrana. this opens up the 3 line to get weaker competition and score more and 4th line of grinders/PK guys.

Defense is where I am struggling. No idea what to do there. Don't want to fill the LD side as we have a ton of prospects but maybe we do and then figure it out later.

I hate all the "patching" we are doing waiting for the kids. Let's make an investment as continuing to "patch it" will lead to the same mediocre results and with this we still have a ton of cap space to sign all other players - Larkin, Bert, Seider, etc, if we want.

Okay, why? He's not fallen apart like most think as he ages. What's horrible about it and why? Term? Doesn't box us in anywhere in the length of contract given, $$? Same. Be specific.

There's too much term. If he signed for 3 years with 8.5, it would be better. First 2 years would seem good, but it goes downhill after that

We'd have to overpay for anyone impactful either in term or money. Maybe a 4 year deal at 7.5? I get the assumption that he may go downhill as he ages, but it seems like he's just hitting his stride and may be okay until his latter mid 30s.

If not Kadri, then who?

7.5 million for 4 years seems reasonable. If the Wings can't get Kadri, I would look into a player younger and cheaper like Strome or Copp
