Well then they'd be fools to buy him out. Muzzin has still been the most effective defensive defenseman on the Leafs while putting up points at greater rate than Rielly at even strength. Last season is the first time this didn't happen but with Muzzin suffering multiple big injuries it's reasonable to expect it as a one off. By the playoffs, he was back to being the most effective defenseman on the team.
