Would be much more likely to see the Jackets signing a UFA dman than giving up a high pick in a loaded draft for soon to be 32 year old Dillon.

I think the Habs really like Barron and that first round pick needs to be protected. Ultimately I don’t think the Habs are willing to give up what it would take to get Dubois, and I think with the cap they would have to shed to get him signed it doesn’t make sense.

That doesn't give Chevy any incentive to move Dubois now. A late 1st and decent prospect is PLD's minimum value at the TDL in two years, so adding a player that is creeping closer and closer to a cap dump every day, doesn't compensate Winnipeg for those extra two years.
