Someone or a couple guys are gone.

I’d say Walker for sure. Probably one of JAD or Vilardi which I’m not a fan of.

I don't think anyone is moving until around Christmas. Walker's trade value won't be up to par until he can show he's recovered from injury. Bjornfot will start in the AHL.

Byfield could start in the AHL to make room for JAD so they don't lose him to waivers. In that situation, Kupari would start at 3C. Not sure where Vilardi fits yet. If Arvidsson is on LTIR to start the season, then we'll likely see him at 3RW with Kaliyev at 2RW.

Things we got done:

- Top-line scoring (Fiala)
- Physicality (Lemieux, Fiala)
- LD insurance (Edler)

Things left to get:

- Sign Durzi/Anderson/Vilardi to cap friendly deals
- AHL Goalie with NHL experience (Reup Sparks or similar)
- LD depth who will likely clear waivers
- Find the ellusive top-4 LD mid-season to next season

If I were a betting man, I'd say that Vilardi gets his qualifying offer, Anderson gets 1 year @ $2.5M, and Durzi gets 2 years @ $1.25M.

I agree they'll probably look for a UFA goaltender for Ontario, unless they somehow think that Villalta is ready to jump into the NHL in a backup role if either Quick or Petersen get injured.

I think they signed that LD depth like 20 mins ago in Paquette-Bisson.

Agreed, and JAD takes his qualifying offer, and I imagine we hope Lias Andersson or JAD pass through waivers. We can start Kupari and Bjornfot in the AHL without clearing waivers.
