Description
Love most of what Stevie did yesterday, but I feel like there's a trade afoot soon. If so, who is Stevie targeting?

Proverov?
Petry?
Another Center?

Seems like he wants the team to take a step forward without committing to any UFAs for longer than 4-5 years.

I don't think one is necessarily coming but I'm sure he's listening to offers. This roster as it stands looks like how it's going to start the season. I feel only way he makes a trade is if it's a over pay. With the signings he did make it definitely leaves the option for a trade more open.

Yeah I agree that he won't pull the trigger unless he really feels like he's getting the good end of the deal. For example, I'd hate to see Bert leave, but if a team wants to send a bunch of picks and/or good prospects, I think he'd do it in a heartbeat. I feel like this is also a message to guys like Zadina that if they don't start producing, they will find themselves off the roster.

I doubt it, not like CGY will have issues signing him now that Johnny Hockey is gone

He won't sign long term there, that's what Every report says and he wants to play in STL or somewhere in the us where he can win. He can go to arb sign a 1 year 9M and be a ufa after, Calgary is almost forced to trade him. I wouldn't give up the assets to get him though unless he signs long term

Agree on that. Seeing him in STL would be cool. Maybe they trade one for one for Tarasenko?
