So Anaheim increases their cap hit from $5.825 million to $12,037,500 this season (-$6,212,500) and from $5.825 million to $8,537,500 next season (-$2,712,500), for a total cap LOSS of $8.925 million, all for the benefit of (1) replacing Henrique with Muzzin for two years, (2) one year of future HoFer Kerfoot, ($4.9 million less in actual cash paid, and (4) losing a third-round draft pick?!?!?
We would only consider that if you switched our 2023 third for your 2023 first. Henrique has played very well for us and Kerfoot and Muzzin are unknown quantities.
