Calgary says no. Mangi has expressed interest in signing on there even with everything going on, would take alot more than a collection of B prospects & depth players

Flames aren't trading Mangiapane. They've had a nightmare offseason in the PR department and Mangiapane being very adamant about wanting to sign long term is one of the few flickering lights in the sea of darkness

Kings decline. They do not have the cap space or desire to trade for Muzzin with his large contract and term left or his injury history.

With Mikey Anderson and Sean Durzi to re-sign (giving us 7 defensemen) and 14 forwards under contract already (plus Gabe Vilardi to re-sign), any trades from this point on will have to be at least cap-neutral and roster-neutral, and this one is neither. About the only Muzzin exchange that anyone can come up with that makes numerical sense is Muzzin with 50% retention for Sean Walker.

Muzzin deal could be any west coast team, just used them as an example
