NYI wouldn't accept a condition that is less than a 2nd, and may even ask for more. They are taking on a bad asset, make no bones about it. They are taking the big risk and not able to spend the money otherwise on a Sonny Milano or whatever.

This is far too much of a sweetheart deal for CGY of minimal risk.

Pass on Kadri, rather give Monahan another chance actually healthy then use the gained cap space next year. Milano had his stats boosted by Zegras, he's not a bona fide top 6 winger on a playoff team

Isles have no interest in Monahan and his cap hit. Best case scenario for the Flames is to let him play and hopefully OK then move him at the deadline.
