Habs would facilitate for no picks provided you take back an expiring contract, like Dadonov/Drouin. You can then trade that contract at the TDL.

Habs need cap-relief way more than picks

Habs won't be doing that, 0 chance. No room to retain currently and likely retaining on 3 of our current expiring contract players at the TDL which means there's no availability to retain anywhere else. Also, it takes more than a 5th to retain 2 mil +

You can only retain on 3 contracts. And that is a horrible return for Kane.

Make it a AA for Faksa swap and up the value going to Chicago and I’m down. Obviously would be later in the season since they just signed him
