Description
Signing Oetter and Robo to bridge deals.

Chicago needs a backup goaltender, help on Defense this season, and younger kids for the future, but wants proven NHLers who can play. Chicago bets on a change of scenery for Kivi and Guri doing them both well. CHI knows that Kane will not re-sign, so their leverage is not great.

Not sure how I’d feel about letting Seguin handle second line center minutes again.

Agreed.... but DeBoer has already pretty much assured Seguin of that spot. It's been all in the media covering the team this offseason. 2C is Seggy's this year.

DeBoer is known for being a players coach. Just ask Fleury or Lehner lmao.

I feel like Seguin is going to have a better year this year now that they have an actual top 6 linemate for him in Marchment. People forget that last year Bowness had Seguin with Glendening and Peterson/Benn for a chunk of the year, and he was coming off very serious hip, knee, and ankle injuries and still put up 25g and 50pts. Also cant really have two guys making 9.5m+ on the third line.

Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, Thomas Harley and 2 firsts for Toews/Kane (50% retention) and the Jones brothers.
