Barron, Evans (ok) and a 1st in 2023 for Ekholm???

I don’t see this happening at all. The 1st in 2023 as high value, then Barron could be another top 4 Dman in a year or so. Evans, sure…

While Ekholm is a very good Dman, Habs aren’t looking to get rid of their 1st 2023 or Barron who isn’t costing us much. They would most likely try to move bad contracts or take 1-2years remaining contracts. Hugues is trying to get picks or get rid of the past few mistakes from Bergevin era.

Not saying Ekholm isn’t worth the price, just don’t think Hugues would move future assets right now to get him.
