Habs consider this depending on how much value they can get for flipping Johnson with 50% retained. May be enough to recoup initial cost (and more) for Dvorak. Hughes certainly wouldn't mind two 1st rounders in each of the next 3 drafts... but can't say late firsts are all that exciting which is why he opted for Barron in the Lehkonen trade.

A prospect that may not even leave Russia and a second 3 years from now is not very enticing.

EJ blocks the hell out of that trade. MTL is easily one of the 3 teams guaranteed to make his 10 team list.

COL wasn’t trading the 23 1st, the 22 1st was already traded to AZ so that’s why COL ponied up to Barron.
