Why would MON send a prospect in return for Gardiner? I think CAR will need to add a 2nd round pick to any deal including Gardiner...

habs need nhl dman as bad as carolina needs cap. besides norlinder is a c level prospect.

Montreal needs 2 top pairing dmen. With the potential rookies they having coming in this season, they'll have 7 dmen who are all bottom 4. So, no thank you.
+ Nobody needs Gardiner.
++ Habs and Canes are still about 10 years away from ever making a trade again.
