Description
Sabres seem to be taking things slowly, and that might be a good thing. They have arguably the best prospect pool in the league and didn’t go out to sign a bunch of pilons to make room for them in the future. Fans of this team deserve a bright future and it looks to me that as long as ownership doesn’t screw it up, that’s where they are heading. As of this year, I see the young guys getting better and the team improving overall. They could be a surprise, who knows?

Perfectly reasonable lineup. I would think that the 2nd-4th line wingers could be moved around frequently. I also expect Sheahan and hinostroza to get almost regular ice time, injuries and inconsistent kids will leave the door open for that. Personally, I wanna see power with lybushkin on the second pair, then let the top two pairs take as much ice as they can. Rather see guys like Samuelsson and lybushkin paired up with the first overall picks, let a physical defensive d free them up. Jokiharju doesn't provide much of that, we would be hoping that power can elevate jokiharjus game, which, frankly jokiharjus continued professional growth doesn't matter to me.

Imo the strength of this team is the potential for scoring depth. If the lines end up the way you have, there is a good chance each of those lines find the back of the net consistently. Scoring depth has crippled our team for the past 10 years. I think there are 7 20 goal scorers on this team which would be huge

The op suggested that our top 6 was our strength, which I think is wrong. We don't have anybody elite in our top 6, frankly not even close. But our forward depth as you mention, could be a strength, we should have 3 lines that can score.

An Asplund, Z, Okie line would score consistently as well. That's as fast and hardworking a line as you will find in the NHL. If that's our "4th line" I think we'd have one of the best in the league
