Sens don't do it though, unless they intend to flip JP after the season

They love Watson and what he brings to the 4th line and in the locker room

Plus, he has an expiring contract, which is becoming very important for Ottawa as their cap will get tight, which is why they can't afford to have JP long-term

Plus, they really don't need him. They have several quality forwards who will be waiting in line.
