Description

I was thinking about just how bad the Flyers will sadly be this year, and wanted to explore the depth of the team right now. I will include most injured players as they're supposed to come back this year EXCEPT Ellis. Also, I tried to organize things as best I could in order of what I think the team sees as the line of succession so to speak if a player gets hurt. For example, should York get hurt, I would assume the next man in would be Seeler, then Connauton, then Zamula, etc. Some of this is a bit iffy with Sandstrom and Atkinson's mystery injuries but they haven't announced that it will keep them out for the season.

Surprising to me is the LW depth. In the past this was usually the more lopsided end of the team. It really drops off after Farabee/N. Cates. There are a lot of signed players who are centers, but not a lot of high end talent. I also moved Brown down in this chart because he has an injury they are being secretive about beyond "week to week" while the three ahead of them are all in camp still and likely at least 1 if not 2 make it.

Would love to hear other constructive thoughts. It all needs an overhaul, but if I was GM I would target in the draft: C, RHD, LW, G as priorities in that order.
