Flyers and Habs in a knife fight for worst blueline in the league this year

I doubt the Flyers blueline is the worst. The Flyers are probably one of the worst teams at the Center position and most mediocre on the wings. But let's keep blaming the defensemen for any and all woes.

Defensively they are bottom two. Sanheim and Braun are solid Defensively, Provorov is fine, but Risto and Tony D are absolutely dreadful. Idk who the 6 D will be, but Seelet isn't good either imo. They're gonna have Risto and DeAngelo on the ice for like 40 minutes a game getting carved up defensively

Braun is terrible. Sanheim is solid, TDA does what he does really well and in theory, should help provy reach his potential. Risto isn't great he just hits stuff.Not as bad as made out to be tho. Seeler is god awful.

Braun is he what he is. He's a 3rd pair defensive defenseman that should play 15 to 16 mins a game tops. He's solid on the PK. He shouldn't be matched against top lines. I wish Braun was considered the #6 or #7 but they don't seem to be going with the younger York and Attard. Seeler and Connauton might be battling for the #7 rostered defenseman at this stage. I'm guessing that since York was sent to the AHL that the Flyers will look to use Ryan Ellis' LTIR cap space now to fill in the bottom pair and hopefully gain some extra assets if it's someone like Zaitsev. The defensive group above isn't threatening to be the best in the league but it's not the worst either. The problem with the Flyers is that when you pare an at best mediocre offense with a mediocre defense you can quickly find yourself toward the bottom of the league because you are neither scoring enough nor defending well enough to win most nights. The Flyers will need a teamwide commitment to defense to try and win like the Islanders have in recent year but even that bottomed out last season. The Flyers also lack the skilled personnel of the Islanders.
