id love this, but id imagine Salo goes the other way, probably instead of Widle or Iskhakov

I wouldn't let that stop me from making the deal. I'm sure there will be Vegas fans that don't like this but reality I think this is good value for a team (Vegas) who doesn't have a lot of leverage due to cap crunch they facing

Agree with this. Wilde isn't an asset anyone is interested in, so he'd be a throw-in at best here. Salo makes more sense for Vegas in this move because he a)replaces Hague at LD3 and b)he's signed this year and next at only $800K. The 2nd rounder is more than enough to make up in the difference in talent between the two players.

I still think Vegas keeps Hague instead - with Weber & Lehner on LTIR, they'll be operating under the cap this season, and probably have that $2.5M to spare for Hague. I can see them signing him to that 3x$2.5M and kicking the cap problem to next summer.

i agree for sure. but id think that theyd want a LD to replace their LD. I also dont rly wanna give up Iskhakov so WIlde, Salo and a 2nd would benefit both sides imo. Salo is making 800k for 2 years, exactly what VGK needs

Wilde and Iskahov are kinda meaningless as they likely never see the NHL. Don't know why you say Vegas has no leverage. They can afford Hague....it's Hague that has no leverage. Obviously no other team has offered him an offer sheet that he wanted to sign.
