I don't think Murray is gonna waive to go to Arizona, even if he's the starter.
Also, don't supress a talented player just for the sake of sabotaging his contract negotiation. He's a good player, if the leafs don't pay him, someone else will.

Leafs are infinitely better keeping 1.4m Sandin and buying out Murray, and keeping Niemela and the first than trading for the unneeded Chychrun.

Honestly once his contract is up move on from Bunting as an 8 year deal would not be a good idea.

Besides I got a feeling Knies will be the perfect replacement

Use money elsewhere

He has a ton of heart, but his size just doesn't cut in the playoffs against teams big d-men.
