Description

It's clear that this team is in a win now state so it's time to make some moves and act like it. There's a huge whole on the wing in the top 6 and losing Evander Kane for months only makes that whole deeper. And the defence isn't near good enough. Adding Kane helps fill that hole in the top 6 and Gavrikov gives the defence some flexibility.

In my opinion, Nurse and Bouchard need to play together so that Nurse (who's been very good this season) can help stabilize Bouchard's game, then you have a shutdown pairing of Gavrikov and Ceci, and then a bottom pairing of Kulak and Barrie who had success together last season, with Niemalainen being able to rotate in when needed.

Jack Campbell will be fine. Yes his contract isn't ideal but he will sort his game out and hopefully bounce back from these horrendous first few games. But until then it is Stuart Skinner's net.

Mehhh, yeah it's a rough start to the season, but we always had rough starts, McDavid's career had a rough start, Draisaitl's career had a rough start, all of our star players had rough starts, but they all pulled through. Now all we really need is bigger and tougher Defenseman and a better bottom 6 forward group... Nuff said

Jackets have no need for pool party and if you don’t include a first you can switch him out for a good prospect

Is Gavrikov better than Kulak though? His stats indicate that he's among the worst defenders in the league.

The 1st can't be conditional. That's the minimum for a Gavrikov deadline deal; it doesn't get to be downgraded.
