I'd take Holtz and run but Devils aren't doing that. We have no need for Kerfoot. No one will give up a 2nd for him. We'll just take a 3rd for Suter. We're good with Rasmussen at 3C and Veleno at 4C. The only upgrade at C which makes sense is Horvat. We have no use for Johnsson either.

With the Muzzin LTIR I don't think Dubas will trade Kerfoot. Leaf fans have wanted him traded for 3 years now and he's still there. Dubas seems more comfortable making minor moves. I don't believe Detroit has any former Soo Greyhounds players. Suter played in Guelph with Bertuzzi and Fabbri.

I'm sure any GM would love Holtz. But the Devils aren't making that trade. And Yzerman isn't trading Raymond, Kasper, Edvinsson or Cossa to get him.
