Not sure what Kane's value is but I'm surprised more people think he goes to NYR rather than going home to Buffalo. Sabres have plenty of cap and assets to make a trade rather easy to pull off.

No use in spending good assets for a player that won't make is a playoff team and is an expiring ufa. If he really wants to come back home to buffalo, he'll sign in FA.

Patrick Kane isn't waiving to a Buffalo team, That's not making the playoffs. Adams isn't giving up picks for a player when buffalo has zero chance of making the playoffs.

The Sabres shouldnt be written off so early. We really just need GMKA to step up and fix the Mittelstadt and Bryson problem and hope Comrie comes back more consistent.
