Description
Why be good when we can be bad.
this team has proven that it cant win when it comes to playing against good teams when they are healthy, they have not won in regulation in the last year, this team needs to tare it down and start again, look to the future, give petey the C and all the money in the world, lets build this team around him, move out the core pieces and look to the future.

Boeser trade,
3rd is because of how far in the future the pick is, it can be dropped if NYI fans think that the deal isn't fair.

Garland trade,
Needs a new start, I see garland as worth a high 2nd and the bad contract of Foegle upgrades that to a late 1st, I am guessing it will be close to 28.

Kuzmenko trade,
He is on a heater, people say that this is a one off but he did this in the K, now that he has come to North America he started slowly but has come on hot. The reason why his shooting percentage is so sustatinable is because of how he plays, he is always at the front of the net, so he is a super good finisher who will put rebounds, tip ins and tap ins into the back of the net. I would be open to dropping the 3rd.

Hughes trade
I don't think he will be moved, but Nemec will be required +++ if not it will be Luke Hughes coming. I threw in Shakir for value but I think that it could be another piece such as another first. People will say that Hughes isn't worth it but he is a bone fide #1 defence man, he would be the best blueliner on the Devs and if he isn't now he will be in 2 years. Nemec's ceiling is Hughes, I still think that Hughes can still grow more.

Schenn trade,
Does not have to be to DAL, just has to be a 2nd or roughly equal value.

Demko trade,
It's really Grans, Kupari, 1st for Demko, then Pinelli to take on Petersen, this is one trade that I think picks could be added and canucks could get more, I dont think that there is anything to worry about with Demko's play or injury, he was overplayed and had a tough time coming back from injury, he'll be back and he'll be fine

Burroughs trade,
Great guy, lets get something for him

Horvat trade,
Horvat is the #1 guy at the TDL this year, the ask will be a top prospect, roster player and a 1st, as the player is just for the cap a second is also being thrown in.

Quinn Hughes l would not be the best blue liner on the Devils lol
He’s very very good, but the Devils blue line honestly doesn’t have a huge need for him with Nemec, Hughes, Casey, Mook in the pipeline.

I think NYR take that. That works for them two ways. Fill top 6 role and could possibly move a contract out.

He would be a rental or present with more options in the off-season.

I'm not so sure about that. Cost wise, if the price to add a potential scoring winger for Barzal (and dump Bailey on top of it) is a 1st rounder three years from now, I think Lou would definitely consider it. Lou is 80 years old; is her really likely to give a crap about 2025 draft picks?

Now if your issue is that Boeser may not be the best fit for the Isles regardless of price, that's a separate issue (and one that I may agree with you on).

Boeser is a 4th liner who isn’t good defensively or offensively. Boeser and potential scoring winger shouldn’t be in the same sentence

1st rd picks in 2025 are more valuable than 2024 because who knows where the isles will be (especially if they have Boeser in the top 9). It could easily be a top 3 pick.
