It won’t. That 3rd pairing is going to get absolutely demolished in the dzone. Goaltending could be better, but can still improve. The 4th line has potential, but it will likely be a rough season. The C depth is, garbage to say the least, and is really only good for defensive purposes outside of Matthews. Team defense is looking kind of weak, and whilst this team has the offensive firepower to succeed, they don’t have the defensive game to go far.
