Description
Based off the Hagel deal: Two C prospects, and a first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and 2024 NHL Draft. The Lightning also received a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft and the 2024 draft.

Some difficult roster decisions would have to be made next year, but if you decide to move one of Samsonov (would net a really good return) or Murray (could get a modest return)

Or, IF the Leafs believe they can’t resign Nylander in 2024, you’d have Konecny and could look at moving Nylander next year for a haul and still keep both goalies.

Or you don’t bring back Bunting and look to replace him with Knies. A few different options to make this work next year.

Just don’t see the value in trading 1st’s for rentals. But that’s me

Probably not enough for PHI to trade Konency. The ask should at least be similar to Chychrun if they decide to just rebuild. If they aren't looking to rebuild, he would probably cost more than Chychrun to acquire as he's arguably their best player after Couturier.

Minnesota has no reason to make that trade, doubt they find a cheaper (cap and acquisition cost) replacement for Gaudreau elsewhere.

Koneckny is much better than Hagel.

Kerfoot adds nothing to the deal for PHI
SDA doesn;t have much value and in PHI prospect system is probably outside the top 10 forward prospects.

Steeves and two 1sts for Koneckny is probably close and would make PHI think, but I dont think they say yes. Hirvonen and 2 1sts and I think they might just do it

You can get a lot better of a player than Konecny for this price.

While I don't disagree with you that you could get a better player for this, the price here is likely high because of the contract/term. -- anyone you get that is a superior player, is going to be a UFA, or nightmare contract.

I still think PHI can't afford to make this trade.

A UFA makes more sense. It's cheaper and leaves us with cap space to resign Matthews and Nylander. Anything more than a 2 year contract is too much for TO add. They need to keep space for the big guns.
