Description
The goal isn't to rebuild but retool, Hughes Pettersson and Demko is a good young core if you attach geat things with it like Lafreniere, I still have hopes in Hoglander and Podkolzin, I think that changing some players in the locker room could have. I see Dumba as a pretty good fit and would be a huge upgrade after Myers, maybe I underestimate Dumba's value. Maybe a would add if we have the space a third pair RHD.

I proposed Horvat for Lafreniere last year, I wonder is Rangers fans feel differently now.

How do the Rangers have the cap to extend Horvat?

Forget the trade, with what cap are we resigning him? We’ve got Miller and Chytil to resign as well. If there was no cap I could understand, but I don’t think it’s possible to have another $7 mil fwd to our roster without needing significant other moves. And I personally think it’s more important to hang onto our younger players.

Rangers don't have $9,000,000 per to afford Horvat long term. before making these kind of trades. Try looking up the other teams salary cap for next season.

No way is Brock Boeser returning a 2nd without retention. Probably less than 75% of the teams can even afford that cap hit. At full value you'll be lucky to get either a 3rd or 4th round pick for Boeser. Not even including his health issues.

Garland > Kapanen.

Why do want another expensive Dman who could be on the decline for seven years. Another crazy "extension" traded that has no merit.
