Description

We've made a deadline deal with St. Louis in the past. Maybe history repeats. Tarasenko seems like he'd be a great fit next to Scheifele and Perfetti... hard to say if he'd wave his NTC but I mean the Jets are a top team in the league right now, I can see him waving to make a cup run before testing the UFA market.

With 1.1M left in cap space as well, I also wonder if we'd try and get a 4th line center. Gustafsson has fallen out of favor a bit recently, getting scratched in favour of Kevin Stenlund, who also hasn't been anything special. Maybe a cheap sort of, "5th rounder for 4th line vet center" trade would make sense too.

Vova isn't waiving for WPG, the Blues aren't handing him to a rival unless it's an irresistible overpay and the Blues would not touch Stanley with a 100-foot isotope claw.

Tarasenko likely wouldn't waive for Winnipeg but if he would it'd take more then that, Harkins and Stanley have very little value, need a better prospect in there with the 1st.

I'd be willing to get less back in return if we swap Heinola for Stanley. That's the kind of guy the Blues should be targeting to upgrade their defense.

I don't think the Blues have a problem trading a guy to a "rival" (and they shouldn't) considering they traded Stastny there a few years ago but yeah Tarasenko's NTC might be a problem.
