yes. you create a hole in your top 4 while also giving up your best prospect for a rental at a position you don't necessarily need

Can't have it all, they'd have to search FA (again, on the presumption that neither Horvat or Pasta take $10+M contracts)

Horvat and Coyle would set up the 1-2 C position for the foreseeable future, especially with Bergeron and Krejci getting on in years, and even keeping either of them on 1-2 year contracts can help the transition.
