Problem is from the rumor mill is Sweeney is hard after him. IMO I think we can a better return from other teams without the deal being such a bad trade from a Bruins perspective. Lysell is a good prospect but I'd rather get a good Center or D prospect (ie. Stankhoven from Dallas or Sapovaliv from Vegas)
No no. There’s no legitimate source claiming there’s any sincere interest from boston.
A lot of this nonsense is derived from a Jimmy Murphy, “report.” For those that don’t know, Jimmy Murphy is a clown that’s been fired from every legitimate publication he’s ever worked for. Now he blogs for something that’s called like, Boston Hockey Now, or something stupid like that. He’s teamed up with Joe Haggerty, who has a virtually identical resume. Their job isn’t to report legitimate NHL rumors. Their job is to generate clicks. They’re so lazy that they just find the biggest name on the market, and report that there’s all sorts of talks. The real sad part is that it works. They said the same about chychrun last year. They’re always wrong.
Instead, lets just employ logic.
Do the bruins need a center? Absolutely not. They’ve got their four, and it seems to be working out pretty well, wouldn’t you say? The also have two guys playing wing that are natural centers.
Well maybe Horvat can switch to LW, any need there? Nope. Taylor freaking Hall is on their third line.
Okay sure, but maybe they want to get him in the fold so they can move forward with him in the future? Nope. No cap space. Horvat in Boston next years means that David Pastrnak is not.
If Krejci or Bergeron are out for the year - then the talks begin. Otherwise, not a fit.
