Holland has never traded a 1st for a rental, so I doubt this happens. Maybe if ROR was willing to extend at $5.125M x 4 like Kane?

In any case, I don't see Mikkola playing ahead of Broberg. The Swedish rookie is on fire right now, among league leaders in most on-ice stats. Nikola would be the 7th defenseman at best (if he outplays Desharnais).

I can't imagine STL taking this deal for ROR and Mikkola, EDM would likely need to add something else to get them.

Agree with @CD282, Mikkola isn't cracking our team rn so why spend the effort of getting him... I would still love to have ROR at a price similar to this.
