Yikes. Pronovov and Myers aren't a massive improvement at all on the defence.(over Sandin and Holl)
Then making the forwards a lot worse if ZAR, Simmons, MacEwen and Anderson are in the top 12, but trading away Kerfoot and Engvall.
Hardly cap compliant next season and trading away three young cheap assets in Knies, Niemela and the first needlessly.

Holl is awful and sandin is not very good and even worse in playoffs. Those 2 are big helps in the playoffs

If you're saying Holl is awful, you'll likely say the same about Myers. All it cost was a 1m increase in cap hit and Niemela.

As for the Provorov trade, Sandin is still young, he might not be ready for playoffs this year, but the GM who gives up Sandin+Knies+ a 1st for Provorov will live to regret it sooner rather than later.

The Leafs defense is good, they just need to ADD a d-man with a physical presence, but the cost doesn't have to be high. The cap implications along with the assets given up for little to no upgrade overall make these two trades not worth it.
