That seems like a huge over pay. NYR would be crazy to pay that much and then yeah, can they even afford to re-sign Meier or is the plan to flip him in the off-season!?

Not in a thousand years. Better trade is Timo to the Habs for Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovsky and their next 3 years worth of 1st round picks.
