Any idea when Thatcher Demko is coming of the IR list and being re-activated?

If we're trading away our 2023 first, we're probably going to want to have that question answered beforehand.

The Canes will trade for Miller when you can find out how to get him in the 4-5m AAV cap hit range. Give them a call back when that is possible.

I don’t think there’s a specific date yet, but if Demko does get moved (which I think is unlikely) it’ll be in the offseason, not at the deadline

What I don’t get is if Petersen’s value is so low that we have to trade a 1st rounder for him, why would you want him for the next 2+ years?

I’m fine with Cal, and I think he’ll right the ship at the NHL level. His upside is too high to make a deal like this.
