Agreed. Comps for Z'brahz should be Cozens (7 x $7.1), Suzuki (8 x $7.85), Boldy (7 x $7), with Hughes as the ceiling (8 x $8). Obviously I'd prefer an 8 year deal for him, and 6 for Terry.

Benoit is a better defenseman than Stanley. Trading Jones and scratching Benoit is just poor asset management.

I'd also rather have Comtois than Kerfoot and use those UFA dollars to sign a defenseman. But the idea that they need to sort out 3LW and 2RD isn't wrong.

Keeping the same thing year over year will lead to similar results.

There's quite a few Preds dmen that would be good returns for Comtois. I really think ANA needs to move Comtois ASAP to retain his value, and most of my builds reflect that. While his value is probably lower than Jeannot's, he could still likely fetch a struggling dmen of similar upside. Carrier from NSH is another option. There's enough FA options that Comtois could easily be replaced on LW, while the RD market is much more shallow.

No need for Vancouver to crowd themselves by retaining. To Anaheim, it's Monopoly money once Myers' big bonus is paid, so make it the Detroit fourth and we're happy.
