Horvat's having his outlier season this year and Jake's still out producing him. You can make the argument for position but Jake should at least get equal to Horvat imo, he's the better player

Plays a less valuable position, and is not outscoring Horvat. You can argue points, but Horvat is about to drop a 50 goal season. I don't care if Jake has 65 points in 68 games, the 50 goals is worth more

Guentzel for an entire season is worth more than 25 games of horvat

He's also better, one outlier year aside.

I think Canes should include Heimosalmi personally. That Islanders pick at the time of the trade and probably to be expected was mid teens. Carolina's pick should be mid twenties.

You don't make a trade involving a pick based on where the value is at the time, but where it will be when the pick is made. Isles pick should be late teens early 20s. That's more than comparable enough
