-Even if trade protections aren't an issue, Kuznetsov for Nelson doesn't really benefit the Islanders all that much for just a 2nd.

-DeBrincat trade seems fine, it depends on if Ottawa can't re-sign him and how they value the prospects.

-Montreal is mid-rebuild and not in a position to just trade for salary. They might do a swap for Hoffman or Armia or send Price's LTIRetired contract the other way, but Mantha for a 3rd is not a trade they'd make.

I guess, but Kuznetsov was in his prime then as Nelson is playing well under Lambert now. It doesn't seem like a move worth making.
