Description
*This is purely opinion based. I will not read your comments. No trades are assumed. Only RFA's Florida has the rights to are signed.

There were a few teams that could've been here but all the "ifs" and scary lack of depth made me settle on Florida. The 3rd and 4th lines look like something out of a horror movie. Bjugstad has high potential to succeed but he, Trocheck, and Barkov have battled long-term injuries already. One of these centers get hurt again this year and we might as well call the Panthers the Titanic. There are too many forwards in their lineup who haven't played a game for the Panthers and that's a scary thing. Losing guys like Jagr, Jokinen, Marchessault, and Smith up front is bad news bears as these were the guys the Panthers literally had to count on last year. In goal, you have a rapidly aging goalie coming off an injury and a decent backup. The defence is actually very solid in terms of production but they are either quarterbacks or bangers except for Ekblad. They lack a true puck-moving foot-speed core who can get the puck to their forwards, which they desperately need as their forwards aren't exactly known for their high-end offensive prowess. If one or two of their d-men are out at a time, life will become even harder for our old friend Luongo. The depth in all positions on this team is horrendous, which is the prime reason Owen Tippett actually has been talked about having a chance at cracking this team. (As you can see, I have him back in Mississauga competing on a stacked Steelheads team.) The wild cards here will be the health of this team and if those injuries were simply a one-time thing or something that could happen again, and finding chemistry as this team is so much different than last year up front and not in a good way. I don't expect any team this year will be as bad as Colorado was last year but the way Florida is built this year, one injury can spell a trip to the league basement.
