But the idea that clifford after 2 years in minors is your 13th or 14th forward or that theres much offense in the 3rd or 4th lines or you're not setting yourself up for matthews/nylander armaggedon is pretty clearly insane.

I can't see anyway that Murray is back, but do think a buyout is the more likely scenario.

normally i don't care about trades to the Anywhereheim Ducks, but I gotta push back on this one - Murray's already exercised his NTC once, meaning it's extremely likely that he doesn't go to any of the lottery teams with tons of cap space next year (Arizona, Anaheim, Chicago, etc.) When you look at the rest of the league, then, you've got a bunch of teams without the cap space to absorb $4.6875M, or without a need for a goalie - so where are you sending him?

This is likely the only big contract that Michael Bunting will get to sign, I think it's unlikely he stays with Toronto on a discount like that. You gotta think that at minimum he'll get an AAV similar to the Mikheyev deal or the Coleman one. But I wouldn't put it past a desperate team to offer him something like the hyman contract

In other words, Bunting and the Oilers already have a contract in the works
