1. Brannstrom is slightly overpaid while DeBrincat will want an 8 year extension.

2. Columbus declines.

3. Arizona accepts.

I love Crooker, but I'd probably give him another year tbh. The finish is there, and I love his tenacity, but his defensive play still needs work, and I don't think Ottawa wants/needs him to be learning those lessons in the NHL.

I like the Acciari signing, I'd consider a guy like Garnet Hathaway too.

Also even at 1.1mil I think its too much for Hamonic. Good locker room vibes but he's a league min guy at best rn. I think Kleven might play next year, and right now I'd be going with JBD as the 7th.

I'd be shocked if Arizona accepted that offer. Vejmelka is their starting goaltender, and those are hard to find, which is why you're trading for him. Why should Arizona start their search for one all over again, just for a very good RhD prospect and a future second-round pick in a draft where they already have FOUR of them?

You're willing to let DeBrincat walk in 2026? His Qualifying Offer is $9 million, by the way. (Gambrell's is just under a million.)
