Description
for the lines Anderson and Dach can be flip flopped depending on Chem but I think Dach would work wonders with Suzuki and Caufield

Time in AHL Needed
Slaf - Hot take yes, but Hoffman and Armia are un movable which means Slaf should spend time in AHL getting top line minutes every night, plus his good buddy can come play with him.

Farrell - I think this is obvious but still he needs time to get used to playing against men at his size

Roy - Excluding Slaf I think Roy is the next young guy to make a run for the team but again with our excess of wingers I don't think the top 9 has a spot for him yet, let him gain some chemistry with the other young guys in laval

Heinemen - Kids a gamer forsure, let him play a full season in the AHL to really gain 100% confidence but he could easily be a first man up if someone's injured

Mesar - Had a decent year in Kitchener and I'm not 100% on the rules but if he can I think the AHL 3rd line is best for him next year

Mailloux - intersting case since his future is really up in the air, Im assuming this summer we will see what HuGo plans to do with him but he'd forsure slot into the top 6 in the AHL

Let them walk
Gurianov - Winger Log Jam, Would love to keep him over Armia but with him still signed its unlikely
Belzile - Deserves to look around the league, and I think he'll have offers
Tierney - Waiver pickup from injuries no real ties I think he walks
Drouin - Feels like a Tampa bay 3rd liner for 950k lol - He'll find a home but its not here
Monahan - The best what could've been of the year, if he's healthy I think someone will take the chance

this seems realistic for mtl. I persoanlly think slaf sticks around and fits in well as 2nd line lw. Also feel like habs might have to lose a prospect, maybe beck in the PLD deal

I don't think they'd give up Beck, Roy or Hutson, I could see them packaging a couple prospects like Ylonen and Kapanen but if everythings true that we are hearing PLD will want to come to MTL in FA so giving up beck or another top tier prospect doesn't make sense on top of a top 20 pick

Edit: and on the Slaf stuff I think its 100% realistic that hes in the NHL but I still think this season should've been AHL and with his injury it makes me think next year should be aswell

FFS, all these Edmundson to Edmonton for anything trades gotta quit. He'd be a 9th defenseman for the Oilers.
CD282, ricochetii, RWellington and 1 other person liked this.

Its very unlikely now that they have Ekholm but he's super clear of Ceci and Desharnais LOL
