Holl absolutely deserves to play over both Liljegren and Schenn. He's just better than either

objectively terrible take. lily has been one of my fav TO players to watch and does not get enough recognition. if he's not starting over holl and TO finds a way to choke keefe should be shipped out yesterday.

I like Liljegren as well, and I hope he plays but these numbers you have posted are flawed. Holl gets way more defensive zone starts and way harder minutes and still comes out grading well by most advance stats. He's also a very good penalty killer as well. Near elite at denying zone entries. Holl is who I trust the most on the right side behind Brodie. I think Schenn is the weak link but he's physical and that has some value to some.

the "usage" bar takes into account of quality of comp, quality of teammates, and usage 5v5. they aren't all that far off in terms of how keefe has used them this season

holl has the edge because he at least has playoff experience, but liljegrens defensive metrics have been insane this season, and in situations not much different from holl

Zone starts man. Holl starts out in the defensive zone more than most defenceman in the league and he comes out on top more often than not. Liljegren starts way more in the offensive zone. Once again, I like Liljegren, a lot. I just know he's just not as safe as Holl and he's not near as good in his own zone as Holl is. He will be one day, I have no doubts but he isn't yet. As I have said, Schenn is the weak link
