This team needs a Re-Tool, if they try to run it back again they’ll miss playoffs and lose everyone to free agency. Rebuild, all 12 remaining season ticket holders will stop coming and we’ll relocate like before, so Re-Tool is the only option. Dubois gotta go, after his playoff performance I don’t want him, and his agent publicly saying he wants Montreal is just disrespectful. I’ve explained why the trade is fair, Dubois produces better, bring so much to the team, Dach is young, on a good deal, blah blah blah, if you don’t think so, go to any non-Winnipeg or Montrealer and see the Dach and Florida pick for him, this is a good compromise. I did a lot of trade, not realistic, but stuff like this needs to be done. If your doing anything to this team it starts with bye bye Wheels and Scheif. Both of them have ruined this team completely to its core. Both of these trades I’ve seen from both sides and think both teams win. A couple more things moving on from older guys and getting younger, and Bertuzzi and Severson. Bertuzzi’s a one year thing because Lucius and Lambert will be on this team soon enough and Severson’s a hometown guy, if he wants to play here you’ve gotta jump on it. Without a doubt Lowery’s the new captain, with Morrissey and Conner for alternates. For the season after this let Bertuzzi and Dilllon walk, prospects will be ready. Get Hellebuyck and Perfetti to extensions, both should be around 7-8, Perfetti long term Buycky 4 ish years. After that season let Kuz and Appleton walk resign Ehlers and Pionk. In the draft take a Forward and a Defensemen in the first, I think Riley Heidt would be a great pick if he falls enough. Hellebuyck needs a reliable backup and Campbell can bounce back and could be flipped at the deadline. This is a good all around team and could be a Underdog contender.
Dach- Great player with term, former 3rd overall player, originally acquired for 13th and 66th overall, and has improved drastically since. I do believe that Dach=Dubois, ask any non-Montreal person on this website
Pick Swap- Jets trade down there pick in this scenario to gain other assets:
Sobolev- former 5th rounder with potential, needs some work tho, sign and use as a bottom 2D on the moose.
Kovacevic- if Montreal wants to give guys like Barron on Mallioux actual chances on the team somebody’s got to go, Kovacevic will be the easiest to move. Winnipeg should have never let him slide out on waivers and will actually get a spot on the team this season, bottom 2D or a semi Healthy-Scratch.
Dubois- Montreal, you finally get your “saviour”, then man who will apparently get you the cup, somehow by next season apparently. Like I said already, Dach-Dubois, Dubois had the better season by what the stats say, and bring so much more to the team, Dach is a younger 3rd overall guy and has term to his deal. Before all you “Montreal waits 1 year” and blah blah blah, you don’t realize the man could change his mind, who knows, Winnipeg keeps him and trades him at the deadline to a Contender, maybe he likes teams that win more then lose and signs a extension, maybe if the Jets dump Wheels and Scheif then man’s more inclined to stay, if Montreal was smart the’d do this now before he realizes the better options.
Pick Swap- You guys move up, congrats!
Vesa- If someone else gets his rights a believe he would come back to North America, start him in Laval and see how it goes, he could easily become a full fledged NHL player one day, but will never reach his full potential.
Major benefits for both teams, Jets get rid of Wheels and start a new era for the team. Kuz probably doesn’t want to come to the Peg, but Winnipeg can offer him a lot more minutes and the cold might remind him of Russia.
Caps shed 8M of cap for Next Next season and get a player of the same potential, both need a change of scenery, and the caps can flip wheeler to a contender at the deadline. Win/Win for both teams. 1-for-1.
If the jets are dumping Dubois, Scheif and Wheels then they will have some cap space, Edmonton fans are saying they’ll do this for a 4th liner and that fits Harkins. Harks will probably never see ice time on this team again and could compete for a spot on Edmontons roster out of training camp.
I see Campbell as a comeback candidate and I do believe he can take a load off of Tired Hellebuyck, who knows if he’s playing well flip him to a contender?
Keep seeing this trade pop up on capfriendly and personally I love it, Jets get a great young player who’s upside is Schiefele and a nice little 1st round pick, not to mention dumping a guy who has a bounty on his head in Winnipeg.
Colorado has got some injuries, they need 2nd line help and 40 goal Schiefele fits perfectly for them, the need help and will have to jump on this. This is a win/win scenario for both.
C’mon Tampa, you know you can’t afford him and Jeannot long term, and Colton will never get enough ice time in Tampa to get to his full potential. Colton will be a perfect fit on the jets 2nd line.
I don’t know anything about Heinola anymore, first round pick, but somehow has never been a full time roster guy yet. If he doesn’t get minutes he’ll join Ves and Stanley in Chevy’s First round faliures. In Tampa he’ll compete for a spot out of training camp and I’ve been seeing anywhere from a third to a first for Colton so this is what I came up with.
Addison is gone from Minnisota, just like Colton his value on this sight is everywhere, Minnie is gonna have some holes in there defense and Demelo can fill them, Extension in place for this trade.
Anybody looking for a great guy in the room, look no further! Nate Schmidt will be wonders for you and your franchise! All he will cost you is a 4th round pick (Any Team)
Stanley will fill some holes after all your UFA Defensemen leave. Stanley will be able to move into a tough role for the team from aging Simmonds and Clifford. 1-for-1.
Tampa can afford to keep him but if he is wanting anything more than 3.5m i would move him for the right price. With Killorn moving he should be top 6 easily but Coop gonna Coop and will be stapled to the bottom 6 all year long
Colton over the last 2 seasons 1.14 goals per 60
Playing with 3/4th liners compared to say
Tavares. 1.12
Kubalik .9
Marchand 1.16
Panerin 1.00
So yeah he cost way more than that.
TB also doesn't do smaller defenseman smallest blueliners acquired under JBB Frederick Cleasson 6'1" 196lbs
